My bad day! So, with Krista I was sick in bed the entire pregnancy, and each has been easier since. Knowing this is to be the last, we were really hoping it would be smooth sailing since we maybe having to move part way through. But this baby has other ideas. Christmas to New Years, I was in bed sick. Tanner went back to work Monday after New Years and the kids had off from school. I tried to get up only to nearly pass out on the way to the bathroom, while listening to the kids fend for themselves watching tv and destroying the house. I barely get past the bathroom into the front room just long enough to grab the phone and call 2 people, one of my visiting teachers to drive me to the ER and another great friend of ours to keep the kids while I was gone. They were both at my door in less than 5 minutes. Once at the ER, the call me back and I curl up on the bed in my coat and their blankets with their trash can only to be told I don't really look like I need anything. But, after practically begging the doctor for hydration he takes the nurse aside and they FINALLY decide to give me an IV with Zofran. After 2 collasped veins they finally have me hooked up and turn the light off so my eyes didn't hurt so badly from the light. I went back to sleep. They came and moved me to a recliner chair for "ER visitors" about 3/4 through the bag. A nurse inquires how I'm doing, and evidentally I wasn't too well because my eyes rolled to the back of my head and I started to pass out, only to jerk back at the last second before hitting the corner of the wall. The nurse decided to give me a 2nd bag then inform the doctor. About 1/2 through the secod bag they wake me out of my chair to have me leave a "sample" I was able to give them almost a tablespoon of something that was dark brown and stank. When giving it to the nurse, I started gagging at her and they then gave me another curtain room with a bed and brought me another blanket. Blessed warm blanket. The doctor came in just as I was finishing up the 2nd bag and said he guessed I looked better, but how did I feel. I started gagging and the room was spinning again. He then ordered a 3rd bag with Zofran. I finished that off and I was able to sit up without falling over. THANK GOODNESS!! They gave me some ice chips and sprite to see if that would stay down. Nope. They then gave me a shot of somthing that started with an r and that sent my anxieties through the roof! But after 20 minutes of hyperventalating and feeling crazy I no longer had the desire to be sick and I held down the ice chips and pop. Then they released me and my sweet visiting teacher came and picked me up and took me home. My friend kept the kids till Tanner got home and also fed the kids and Tanner dinner. I'm still struggling to keep my stomach in tack, but I've not been back to the ER. They tell me it will probably last the entire pregnancy, and after Krista, I'm inclined to believe them. In the mean time, I make it to 2 of my 3 physical therapy appointments a week, I sleep more than not, my house is a disaster, but there's a job opportunity that has presented itself to Tanner that we are praying for. We should know in the next 2 weeks if we actually have to move or not. With this opportunity, we wouldn't have to move. And we'd see more of Tanner. My girls are fabulous at getting their jobs done to the best of their abilities and keeping up with their homework and being happy. Right now, life is as good as it gets, and we're happy and greatful for that!
