The weekend that the quail hatched, we were in Safford for a baby blessing for my niece Michelle Ball. It also happened to be Amanda's 5th birthday that day! We had LOTS of fun! We stayed at our cousins' Eric & Sherri Thomas with Mindy & Merick. Here's some pictures from a previous visit, but to say the least it was more of the same! Amanda is deathly afraid of dogs. But, with Eric's help, Mindy & Merick are now her most favorite best friends ever! With Eric by her side, Amanda had both dogs literally eating out of her hand! It was amazing!
Since it was Amanda's birthday weekend, we had our traditional pizza movie night then we added ice cream sundaes & cones. We stayed up WAY too late to get up SUPER early the next morning & were all on sugar highs for the rest of the day to literally pass out on the drive home. Daddy is so amazing to drive us sleepy heads so safely home when he had just as little sleep as the rest of us!
With it being Michelle's weekend, we didn't want to take away from that so we had just a tiny Sleeping Beauty cake for Amanda to enjoy & Grandma & Grandpa Hardwick had a gift for her. We had more birthday fun at home for her with her Potterf family a few weeks later. She now believes that the entire month of May is her real birhtday! For the Potterf party, cousin Sarah made an amazing birthday cake & was so excited about a birthday that she brought decorations, too!
Amanda was in 7th heaven! As per her actual birthday, we had other family things going on that day! We spend the morning at cousin Kodi's mission farewell, then had all his extended family over for dinner & Amanda's birthday, too. We like our family gatherings!!
