So, every year Tanner, his dad, his brothers, brother-in-law, cousins & the kids 1st grade & older go to Black River, hike in, fish, camp, fish, play in the water, fish, camp & hike back out. They were rained out last year, the year before it was a bit cold but they had fun anyways, & this year the weather forcast for lows of 35-40. So change of plans. We repacked all the camping/hiking gear & food we'd pulled out & purchased & packed for the beach. Well, they went fishing! Boy did they have fun! It was even better once the youngest of the bunch started baiting her own pole! Then they only needed help unhooking the fish they caught & throwing back what they didn't care to keep. They also spent time playing on the beach & in the reefs. They tide was out further than we've ever seen before so the kids had LOTS of fun exploring! They found shells with octipus & eggs in it, lots of sea stars, puffer fish, crabs, sand dollars & all sorts of things they couldn't identify! Deandra was squirt by an octipus, twice. There are LOTS more pictures, but it's time to do laundry & Amanda & Cameron are telling me they are hungry, so I guess I'm finished updating the blog. for now. we'll see what happens while Tanner's at work tonight. Gotta love that night shift! I don't sleep while he's away, therefore not much gets done around the house! but, on the bright side, we actually SEE him on this shift & he's not out in the summer heat. Pray for a new job soon! Till then!
