About Us

We are having lots of summer fun! When the girls aren't outside playing in the water, or playing Barbies, they are having TONS of fun doing art projects, reading new books and playing games! Every day, I grab an envelope/box out of the cupboard that I've already put together. So far we've done rice mosaics, color by number, had a fairy day, had a water balloon day, made seashell pictures, flower pens, coloring a castle and writing a story about the castle, making cookies from scratch, magazine butterflies, and many more! We’ve invited friends over to do art time with us and that makes it all so much more fun! After art, we eat lunch and have 1 hour of mandatory quiet time. Cameron usually gets in his best uninterrupted feeding and nap time, Deandra & Amanda usually fall asleep reading a book on their bed and Krista and Brianna get to read new books that were purchased for them especially for summer break. After that, Daddy is on his way home and it’s time to clean up the house a bit before he gets here and get dinner started so we can have some fun time outside while it’s still cool in the evening before bed time! Fridays are still our most favorite time of the week, though! Every Friday/Saturday night we eat homemade pizza and watch a movie together as a family. We have a movie sheet that is used only for Pizza Movie night and the girls love getting ready for this fabulous tradition that we started right after moving into our house! We’ve just passed the 5 year mark!! Sometimes, though not very often, we’ve had friends over or family while their in town or we’ve gone over to a friends house to share our homemade pizza and movie with them, but usually it’s just us, and we LOVE IT! It is a tradition we plan to keep for many, many more years to come! What are some of your traditions??

The envelope idea sounds great! Did you find a list of ideas somewhere or just make them up? Do you have enough envelopes for one per day for the whole summer? If you do you are wonder woman in my mind! (You are already, but that's a different story!)
