Uncle Trent's getting married so Mama's SEWING?!?

I haven't taken on any big sewing projects for a while. Okay, other than 2-3 blessing gowns, I really haven't sewn anything for over a year. So with Tanner's older brother and the last single sibling among the two of us, I went to town! The colors were black and white. But mostly black. I pulled out my vintage patterns from the 30's-70's and my imagination and went to work! Deandra's dress went from
to
Amanda's dress went from
to
and Brianna's dress
to this:
For Alea my friend Michelle Paterson did the smocking to make this one happen! From
to
Krista was the hardest. I wanted something not too grown up but definately not a little girl. Finally I found this!
and came up with this!
I found a beautiful white silk dress on ebay and accented it with royal blue mary jane pumps and some vintage 40's blue cha-cha jewlery. Tanner and Cameron were both in the wedding party and wore black suits, Tanner with a black dress shirt and white tie, Cameron with a white dress shirt and black tie. We later added black fidora hats for the both of them and royal blue ties for family pictures. As much as I was not looking forward to a black wedding, I think I ws able to dress the girls and I up fairly well!
