About Us

Just after Tanner was offered a position with Abengoa Solar, we decided to take a road trip to visit cousins in Texas. So we rented a minivan and loaded up the girls and Cameron and hit the road! We drove straight through to San Antonio, TX to go to Sea World. The kids did fabulous!! Then we went to Sea World and did all the touring things and the rides and shows. We stayed at a hotel right across the street from Sea World and used their shuttle to avoid parking fees. We had the approved snacks and water bottles to tide us over till everybody was ready to go back to the hotel for lunch and a break. We finished off the day of fun activities by swimming at one of the hotel’s many swimming pools and then sleeping like rocks! We got up, ate breakfast packed up the van and took the shuttle to Sea World again to enjoy their water amenities. Did you know that with all the humidity there it is simply IMPOSSIBLE for us dry Arizona people to keep on sunscreen???? We were all florescent and glowing when we left that afternoon! But boy was it fun! We grabbed a late lunch/early dinner and drove on out to Dallas to our Hair cousins. Toll roads are unique! We paid our dues and enjoyed the trip! We stayed with our cousins, Jared and Shannon Hair. They were wonderful! They spoiled us! I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to go and stay in someone’s home that you can stay up visiting with all night long and simply continue to enjoy each others company for several days! And Shannon, thank you so much for your hospitality! Being due with baby #10 within 2-3 weeks and putting us up! I really hope we didn’t stress you out but maybe distracted you from the waiting! While there we also visited with our cousins Josh and Catherine Hair, and with Aunt Jane. We miss having you closer, you know, here in Arizona, Aunt Jane! They spoiled us, too! We had so much fun that we, including all the kids, can’t wait to visit with you again! Here or there! The kids all got along, better than Tanner and I hoped, and made it so much nicer than trying to referee bickering and fighting. I can’t tell you how enjoyable this trip was! Then we had to leave. We planned on staying the night and breaking the trip into 2 days, but after bribing the girls with fast food and ice cream, we plowed on through and made it home in one day. We can’t wait to go again!!
