I'm a bit slow, I know, BUT....Here is our vacation day from this summer! We started out by getting up early and going out to eat at IHOP. Therefore I didn't have to do dishes!! Then we went and hung out at the park for a while, it was still early enough that our play places weren't open yet!! After the park and breakfast we went to Makutu's Island and had so much fun that NOBODY wanted to leave! This place is AWESOME! It is a 20,000 square foot, multi-level indoor playground in Chandler, made for children and adults. Check out their web site to see just how much fun they offer! http://www.makutusisland.com/index.html Everybody was stamped and it was an enclosed area, so until about 75 more adults and their offspring came in, I even had a blast chasing the girls around and climbing up their ladders and down the slides! And Cameron LOVED the infant/toddler play area! After Makutu’s Island, we went to IMAX and enjoyed their “Under the Sea 3D” experience http://www.imax.com/underthesea/
. That was amazing! Other than Deandra & Amanda needing to use the restroom every 10 minutes, and yes we took them both at the same time (talk about little bladders!), the girls really enjoyed watching and experiencing the wild life of the great undersea! We filed out of IXAX and headed out for lunch at Chuck-E-Cheese. Another great place the girls absolutely LOVED. Too bad their pizza isn’t all that great! Especially for people who can’t have the cheese they pile on to cover up the lack of taste of the crust and sauce! I was ready to go eat somewhere else, but, I stuck it out and looked forward to eating out for dinner….some 2 ½ hours later, we left Chuck-E-Cheese and headed out for swimming at Mesquite Groves Aquatics Center. It is basically a mini-SunSplash and loads less expensive. The girls didn’t know the difference! (Probably because they’ve never been…) After swimming and playing in the whirlpool and going down their adventure slides, being dumped upon and enjoying the lazy river we headed out at closing time. We got dried off and dressed and headed over to Quizno's for sandwiches for dinner. Okay, Tanner and I got Quizno's and the girls wanted kids meals from Carl's Jr. so they could have playdough. We came home and ate our dinner and slept like rocks! What a day! We look forward to doing it again! Maybe for Daddy's next day off? No, wait. We're headed out to Mexico next!!
